Julelan, the prince who visited the Toad residence, is attacked by an assassin. Julelan narrowly escapes with the help of Bard, Karz, and Jurchaga, and requests Bard to become the general of the Royal Direct Army, borrowing Karz and Jurchaga.
[Episode 6 The Rescue of Corpus Fortress]
Bard, who has taken on the role of a nominal general, goes to rescue Corpus Fortress near Mithra. His companions are Chantillion and two of his subordinates. Bard scolds the soldiers of the fortress who had lost their morale after seeing a horde of demonic beasts and defeats the attacking demonic beasts.

Bard and Chantillion defeat the lord and find solace in the arms of a woman from Eina’s people. The woman who accompanies Bard is named Riza.

Chantillion sneaks into the harem and sings a love song to Doriatessa. Julelan returns triumphantly, but in reality, he was saved from a crisis by Karz and Jurchaga. Bard, under the guidance of Barry Toad, declares that he forgives his late lord, Vola. And he reminisces about the love song he sang terribly.

King Wendelland is assassinated, and Julelan is to be crowned. Bard, who was supposed to be just a nominal general, heads to Lordvan Castle to command the joint forces of the three nations and confront the large army of demonic beasts.
