[Combat, Production, & More] IRO Skill Analysis & Verification Thread [Questions OK]

This thread is for sharing information about all skills.

Detailed skill information is compiled in the wiki, so please read it before asking questions. (´・ω・)つ[Link]

General chat about skills is OK, but please try not to stray too far...

[Frequently Asked Questions]

Q. I can't find the skill I want to acquire in the list.

A. IRO has too many skills, so it's hard to find them.

We recommend searching rather than just browsing. It's excellent for bringing up related skills too.

Q. I acquired a skill but can't use it, and I want to refund the SP.

A. Give up. However, all IRO skills have their merits, so why not try to develop them without giving up?

[Typical Adventurer]

So, the higher the skill level, the stronger the assist feels?

[Typical Adventurer]

Simply put, yes. The assistance becomes stronger towards preventing failure, but looser regarding precision.

It probably means there's more room for players to add their own unique touch...

[Typical Adventurer]

I agree with that understanding.

When making knives, if the skill level is 5 or below, they're like mass-produced items, but at 6 or above, you can add personal touches.

For example, making the blade slightly wavy.

[Typical Adventurer]

Huh, that's amazing.

It feels like being a master swordsmith, which is cool.

By the way, can you engrave a signature?

[Typical Adventurer]

That's completely separate.

I tried it, and the engraving was terrible, so I cried...

[Typical Adventurer]

Ah, engraving seems to be related to the [Crafting] skill, so go acquire that one.

[Typical Adventurer]

That's it!

No wonder there was no assist at all...

[Typical Adventurer]

The [Crafting] skill generally comes alive when combined with other skills.

[Typical Adventurer]

That's interesting.

Are there [Crafting] elements in cooking?

[Typical Adventurer]

Like sugar sculptures or decorative knife cuts, maybe?

A pastry chef, when they master it, is an artist.

[Typical Adventurer]

I'm gonna go get the [Crafting] skill. Thanks.

[Typical Adventurer]

See ya.

...

Hehehe, I just dropped someone into the Crafting Swamp... (Crafting Swamp/Trap)

[Typical Adventurer]

You're a sly one, aren't you...

[Typical Adventurer]

Did the stonemasonry skill assist activate for the kiln the Uninhabited Island player made?

[Typical Adventurer]

No, I don't think it did.

Even so, a decent kiln was made, so he himself might have made a kiln before during camping or something?

[Typical Adventurer]

So, if you have the real-life skill, you can make things without any in-game skill?

[Typical Adventurer]

Yes.

Apparently, even if your [Sewing] skill is low, if you're good at sewing in real life, you can make things smoothly.

[Typical Adventurer]

Seriously...? "A trade in hand is a golden key," as they say.

But just because you have Kendo experience doesn't mean you'll be good at handling longswords or greatswords, right?

[Typical Adventurer]

Well, the swords themselves are different, after all.

If Japanese swords were to appear, maybe there would be a benefit.

[Typical Adventurer]

Even if you do Kendo, you don't handle real swords.

Maybe for a master? Or someone with full mastery? But even for wooden swords, weren't they dan-ranked?

[Defense Nation] Wolkelst Kingdom - Capital Plaza [Preemptive Self-Defense]

This is a general chat thread for the citizens of the peaceful nation of Wolkelst, also known as the Japan of Irisphia.

[History of the Kingdom]

The Wolkelst Kingdom, known as a defensive nation, has a history of 200 years, similar to its neighbor, the Grania Empire.

It has resisted invasions from the Empire with its Royal Castle located northeast of the Capital, and its massive eastern city walls.

A ceasefire agreement from 30 years ago is currently maintained, but for how long...

[Geography of the Kingdom]

The Capital is located on the eastern edge. To the north, south, and west of the Capital are several territories governed by Kingdom Nobles.

However, beyond that lies deep forest, and past that is undeveloped land inhabited by monsters.

[About Capital Wolkel]

The initial starting point in the Capital is the plaza in front of the Grand Cathedral entrance on the north side.

The Royal Castle is in the northeast, and the area in front of it is the Noble's Quarter, so general adventurers are restricted from entry.

From east to southeast, large merchant guilds are lined up, serving as trade hubs with the Empire and Republic.

The northwest is the commoner's district, the west has the Adventurer's Guild and shopping streets, and the southwest is the craftsman's district.

[Typical Citizen]

My level has gone up and my finances are looking better, so I'm thinking of upgrading my inn. Do you have any recommendations?

[Typical Citizen]

Congrats. But it depends on your preference.

If you want a lively inn, truly for adventurers, there's a place called 'Evening Star' at the end of the street behind the Adventurer's Guild.

The food and drinks are so good, you tend to order too much.

[Typical Citizen]

I go there too!

The stew is seriously delicious, and the wine is quite good...

[Typical Citizen]

The stew and wine sound appealing, but as a woman, I prefer a quieter inn.

[Typical Citizen]

Then, though it's a bit pricey, I recommend 'Unicorn Crystal Inn,' an inn used by merchants on the east side.

They have a lot of vegetables and it's healthy, and the honey wine is delicious.

[Typical Citizen]

Thank you. I'll check it out!

[Typical Citizen]

Oh, did she already leave?

For some reason, they always greet you with "Yes, delighted!" there, so I hope she doesn't get surprised by that.

[Typical Citizen]

What kind of izakaya chant is that...

[Typical Citizen]

I've got a strange story, could you hear me out?

[Typical Citizen]

Speak your mind.

[Typical Citizen]

A few days ago, I saw a cute girl with long silver hair, wearing starting gear, who looked like a new player.

[Typical Citizen]

Officer, I mean, Game Master, this is the one.

[Typical Citizen]

Don't report someone just for seeing them!

Anyway, I saw her again yesterday, but she was wearing Full Plate Armor, equipped with a greatshield and longsword!?

Can you really get like that in two or three days?

[Typical Citizen]

Wasn't it a mistaken identity?

Only the top players wear Full Plate Armor.

[Typical Citizen]

Couldn't it just be that she sold all her old gear for money, then when you saw her next, she had new gear?

[Typical Citizen]

Ah, the type who sells old stuff first for money, then buys new stuff.

I'm the type who buys new stuff first, then sells the old. I'd be scared if it sold out.

[Typical Citizen]

That's not what I mean...
