Chapter 311 - The Queen's Work
Having finished the soy milk soup, we were enjoying a relaxed Q&A session.
Lupi, Leda, and Roy, are they napping? But their ears are twitching, so it doesn't seem like they're fully asleep.
The current question was about how I use magic in cooking.
"Warming and cooling things has become so much easier."
You also have heating magic, so boiling water has become faster, right?
"That's right, exactly. I rely on the Fire Spirit to maintain that temperature, but getting it to boil quickly is no problem."
I explained that acquiring [Applied Water Magic] made cooking easier by enabling heating and cooling.
And with cooling magic, you've added more cold desserts, too.
"Yeah. Oh, it's almost time for dessert."
I could feel Sweee and the Fairies' gazes, asking, "Is the new one ready yet?"
I took out a jar of soy milk from my inventory.
I added a little Fairy Honey and a tiny pinch of salt.
"[Cooling]."
I stirred the gradually solidifying mixture with a spoon… and before it became completely solid, I scooped it into small plates.
Then, I drizzled blue syrup and kinako on top, and it was complete.

Ignoring the comments section, which was business as usual, I took a bite myself.
Mmm, it's good. The soy milk ice cream is refreshing with a pleasant texture, and it pairs perfectly with the rich flavor of the blue syrup and kinako.

Yes. Um, the next one is, 'Will you make statues of other goddesses?'

I explained that since the Jade Goddess statue ended up looking exactly like Mion, I was thinking of sculpting Lupi, Sweee, and True instead of other goddesses.
I also mentioned that I wasn't in a particular hurry to do so, and planned to work on them on rainy days or when I had some free time. I still had quite a few other things I wanted to do.

If I went through Argenta-san, I could probably export them to the mainland, but Lupi's wooden statue, it would have to go to someone who would cherish it.

To my question, the [Woodcraft] player viewers answered various things.
Initially, wooden boxes and arrows were easy and had many delivery quests. Once accustomed, one could make chairs, tables, and wooden training swords.
Eventually, it seemed best to make complex furniture like cabinets, or large and small bows.
Speaking of which, I acquired the [Bow] skill and even fixed a bow, but I haven't used it at all…

In the true chronological order, the one I originally possessed became a Jade Goddess Statue first, but I wasn't going to go out of my way to mention that.

I took it out of my inventory and placed it on the stone table.
Sweee and the Fairies all simultaneously checked the goddess statue, and then went back to their ice cream, as if saying, "Oh, it's not dessert."
Apparently, some people hadn't seen the real thing yet and wanted to see the appraisal results, so…

"Huh? What, what is it!?"

"Woof!"
Lupi led Leda and Roy, running.
Their destination was the side of the church, where the cliff the Yakokko fell from was.
"Sweee and the others, wait here."
I thought it would be fine since it had become a Safe Zone and no monsters would come, but there was a non-zero chance of something falling from the top of that cliff.
Rounding the corner of the building, what caught my eye was…

Huh? These aren't children, are they?
It's fine that they're wearing clothes, but their legs look like deer, and they have one short horn above each ear. And their ears also seem furry and droopy.
Anyway, I wanted to stop their fighting… I looked at Lupi, who nodded as if to say, "Leave it to me."
"Woof!"
"!!"
Noticing Lupi, with Leda and Roy flanking her, they suddenly hugged each other, closed their eyes, and trembled.

When I told her that, she flew off with a smug look, as if saying, "Oh, alright."

Did Sweee ask her? Lupi barked, and the Urisks glanced over at me… then, their eyes widened, and they prostrated themselves. What is this?

[Reaper] "Do fairies have a hierarchy too?"
[Fel] "The Queen's dignity came out lol"

Are they apologizing to a slightly angry Sweee?
Sweee is usually like that, but I guess she really is a Queen…
