It was a rough explanation, but there seemed to be people who were knowledgeable about dyeing procedures, so I added some supplementary explanations, building on their comments. Like whether the color would be a bit reddish because the mordant was made from Grapeful Vinegar. Or what would happen if I tried it with other potions instead of Hermit Bamboo Grass Potions.
