Chapter 36 - IRO Official Forum (3)

[Empire, Kingdom, Republic] IRO General Chat [Everyone Get Along]
----

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
Maintenance over. Good morning.

[Typical Imperial Citizen]
You… were awake this whole time?

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
Yeah, I logged in, so I'm going to sleep now.

[Typical Republic Citizen]
I had a terrible time. It's my fault for falling for it, but…

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
Good work. Were you one of the people whose character was revived?
Did you think, 'I'll get close to a virtual idol on an uninhabited island!'? Too bad!

[Typical Imperial Citizen]
The guy making videos about starting on an uninhabited island first, he should've explained.

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
He kept it secret precisely because of this. A wise decision.
In contrast (omission)

[Typical Republic Citizen]
The [Game Dolls] girls also have a job to do, you know.
They probably just wanted to gain more fans, but they rushed it.

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
Can you even play a game in a place with no NPCs to begin with?
We know now that you can't join later, so you'd be completely thrown in solo, right?

[Typical Imperial Citizen]
Maybe eventually you'll be able to go there by ship.
But it's debatable if anyone would keep playing until then.

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
No way for me. There's no place to get quests, and it seems there's no tutorial either.
Also, if I can't play with friends, what's the point of an MMO?

[Typical Republic Citizen]
If Mion-chan streams, I can do my best!

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
Go to the VTuber thread.

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
Update and new player restriction lift are coming!
[Link]

[Typical Imperial Citizen]
That was surprisingly fast!
Also, the main story title, 'Chapter 1: Empire in Turmoil Arc', is too intriguing!

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
Is this the outbreak of war between nations?

[Typical Imperial Citizen]
Ugh, seriously…
Maybe I should move to the Kingdom while I still can?

[Typical Republic Citizen]
Time to mass-produce profitable consumables!

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
Is there no prologue for this?

[Typical Kingdom Citizen]
They'll announce it eventually, or maybe you'll find out in-game?
I'm a little envious of the Empire players.

[Typical Imperial Citizen]
Don't say things like that, you'll make me wonder if I should run away…

☆ Talking About Participating Virtual Idols ☆
----

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
So what happened to Saaya-chan in the end?

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
She apologized on Saezutter, but apparently, she's on indefinite hiatus from IRO.

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
Seriously? She apologized properly, she should just play normally.

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
No way, it'd be impossible to stay solo on that uninhabited island.
Fans and acquaintances of members can't help either…

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
Eh? She could just recreate her character.

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
That would be tough too~.
People would say, 'You got an Uninhabited Island Start but you're not playing?'

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
The people who say that aren't even playing IRO, though.

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
Because of all the commotion, I hope Mion-tan's video uploads don't stop?

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
That would be a problem.
I want to see the continuation of the uninhabited island too.

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
I'm worried about that too.
Even if it's not the uninhabited island, I want someone to stream.

[Adventurer Who Loves Their Oshi]
No, that's no good.
Those two are perfect. So fresh and new~

About Pottery
----
This thread is for exchanging information about the Pottery skill.
----

[Jinbee]
I started this, but I wonder if there are any other like-minded people…

[Jinbee]
Well, I'll just write it down as a note for myself, then.
If there's any problem, the operations team will probably delete it.

[Jinbee]
Skills acquired for pottery:
Pottery, Appraisal, Gathering.
Collected clay while hunting mobs west of Capital Wolkelst. Two types: Red Clay and White Clay.

[Jinbee]
When I spoke to a staff member about Pottery at the Adventurer's Guild, I was informed that the Merchant Guild had requests for pottery delivery.
Accepted the quest at the Merchant Guild. It seems to be for delivering sake bottles, but they're basically pitchers. I also heard that kilns can be rented in the industrial district.

[Jinbee]
The industrial district has many players with Blacksmithing, Woodcraft, Stonemasonry, and other skills. This is because there's a system where you can rent a personal workshop for one day for 5 large copper coins (5000 Iris).
Once inside, you are alone, so it's probably an instance.
The rental fee felt high, but firewood was also provided, so I understood. I had forgotten that this world has no gas, kerosene, or electricity, of course.

[Jinbee]
Kneaded the Red Clay and shaped it according to the request. The shape of a pitcher found in a tavern.
Intuitively, it seems better to have STR and DEX. Since it wasn't a very difficult shape, I could mold it in a few minutes. This must be unique to games.

[Jinbee]
Placed it in the preheated kiln and waited. In reality, this would take half a day, but what about in-game?
I had planned to wait patiently while kneading clay, but after about 15 minutes, [Pottery: Fired Finished.] appeared.
This is helpful. However, natural cooling time should also be required. For now, I'll take it out and let it cool naturally.

[Jinbee]
Bisque firing was fine. After about 15 minutes of natural cooling, the Pottery skill level increased.
I wonder if this means it's usable as is? However, the quality might be questioned for delivery items, so full firing should be done.

[Jinbee]
Now, for the glaze, from White Clay. Ash and water will likely be needed additionally. It would be more complex in reality, but this much should be enough in-game.
Successfully mixed the glaze without any particular difficulty. Can I gain Pottery skill experience from this too?

[Jinbee]
Full firing was completed in the same amount of time as bisque firing. This also raised my Pottery skill again.
Appraising the finished product showed it to be a wine bottle of very ordinary quality. It must have been a beginner-level quest.

[Jinbee]
Delivery quest complete.
It's convenient that there's a delivery point in a corner of this industrial district.
Delivering 10 items yielded 1 silver coin, 10,000 Iris, so the net profit is 5,000. It's quite profitable, but I wonder if this quest is a repeatable one.
