Friday (Last Day of Exams)
The last math test was over, marking the end of the final exams.
Yata-sensei collected the answer sheets, then simply ended homeroom after announcing a few important things.
Next Monday was a holiday. The following Tuesday would be the closing ceremony, and then summer vacation would begin, but report cards would be returned along with test scores.
"It's finally over. How did it go?"
"Well, I think I did pretty well."
I felt that studying in the virtual clubroom during the exam period and taking an hour-long break in IRO was a good approach.
If Mion or I didn't understand something, we could always ask Yata-sensei or Bell-buchou.
"If our results are bad, our IRO time will be cut short, too."

Especially in our case, if we got a failing grade, it would affect both club activities and streams.

I wanted to say he should only invite Iincho, but he probably couldn't think of a good reason.

I stopped by the supermarket and went home.
After putting away the groceries in the refrigerator, it was around 2 PM, when,
"Shou-oniisama, I'm home!"

Miki also had her final exams today.
She was supposed to have regular school lunch after the tests, and then be done.
"I went to tease Nao's club, you see."
"Ah, that's right, they're allowed to have club activities after their tests."
Miki, who had quickly changed, sat down, demanding a snack.
I served cupcakes, 8 for 400 yen, which were on special, and black tea.
"How were your tests?"
"Munch, they were easy, you see."
Miki answered while munching on a cupcake.
She seemed to have been playing IRO throughout the exam period, but with Miki, it probably wasn't an issue.
"How about IRO?"
"Since Bell-dono is not here, conquest is on hold, you see. Instead, there's been much work on making a road for the port town we spoke of before, you see."
The talk of building a port town is already in motion?
It feels like we're heading in the completely opposite direction, even though there's supposed to be a Demon Kingdom update.
"Aren't you worried about the Demon Kingdom update?"
"It's useless to worry too much when we don't even know the general outline yet, you see."
Bell-buchou was returning today, and apparently, they would continue exploring the Dwarf Dungeon until the update. They were going to the seventh floor next, she said.
"Also, how are the Cait Sith on the mainland doing?"
"Indeed. I saw some in the Royal Capital just the other day. Apparently, new Cait Sith are visiting from Ramune-dono's island, you see."

I alone have made 9 of them island residents.
Well, even if I sent those 9 back to the mainland, it would be minuscule compared to the total number of players.

According to Miki, even if someone tried to follow them, they would lose sight of them without realizing it.
They would apparently slip into paths where humans couldn't pass…

"At least, I haven't heard any talk of them appearing after the World Quest ended, you see."
Are they enemies exclusive to World Quests?
I thought IRO didn't have event-exclusive things, but… there's no point in me worrying about it, I guess.

"The training camp starts at the beginning of August, right?"
"Yes, the training camp is from August 1st to 5th. There are PCs there, but please bring your own VR HMD."

Mion and Miki were enthusiastic.
