Chapter 432 - Plenty of Fun Plans?

Friday (Last Day of Exams)

The last math test was over, marking the end of the final exams.
Yata-sensei collected the answer sheets, then simply ended homeroom after announcing a few important things.
Next Monday was a holiday. The following Tuesday would be the closing ceremony, and then summer vacation would begin, but report cards would be returned along with test scores.
"It's finally over. How did it go?"
"Well, I think I did pretty well."
I felt that studying in the virtual clubroom during the exam period and taking an hour-long break in IRO was a good approach.
If Mion or I didn't understand something, we could always ask Yata-sensei or Bell-buchou.
"If our results are bad, our IRO time will be cut short, too."
"Yeah."
Especially in our case, if we got a failing grade, it would affect both club activities and streams.
By the way, if we got a failing grade, club activities would be prohibited, and we'd have to attend intensive supplementary classes for a week starting at the beginning of summer vacation…
"Shou, what are you doing for lunch? Do you have plans?"
It was the last day of exams, and the exam period was over, but club activities were still prohibited until the test results came back next week.
The Cybernetics Club was allowed to play games, but not stream.
"No, nothing in particular. I plan to play IRO when I get home, but I need to stop by the supermarket first."
"Then let's all go to a family restaurant. And I have something I want to talk about…"
"Ah, alright."
Nat's eyes were on Iincho, who was talking to Mion, so I figured I'd help him out.
………
……

"Is everyone free on Monday?"
"Yeah, I'm free."
Mion next to me nodded, but Iincho, whom Nat was most interested in, asked,
"What's your intention?"
"Oh, no, I haven't done anything but IRO lately, and I haven't been able to hang out with Shou, so I thought it might be nice for all of us to go out and play."
Nat said.
I wanted to say he should only invite Iincho, but he probably couldn't think of a good reason.
"Go out and play… specifically?"
"Um, shopping… maybe?"
Hey, hey, you should have thought of that!
Can't be helped. I guess I'll lend a hand…
"If that's the case, I have a small favor to ask Iincho…"
Shopping, of course, would involve looking at clothes. I've been dragged along by Mashiro-nee and Miki countless times.
"We have a training camp at the beginning of August, and Mion hasn't really picked out clothes much, so if Iincho could help her… it would be really helpful, right?"
When I asked Mion, she nodded emphatically.
Her usual clothes, some of which I'd picked out, would be different for a trip.
"If it's for that, then it's fine. I'm also curious about what Izumo-san usually wears."
The clothes Shizuku-san bought for Mion were all young lady-like one-piece dresses.
They suited her and were cute, so that was fine, but I wished she had some more "normal" clothes.
"I heard the Track and Field Club is going to Nagano, so I need to prepare too. What about Iincho?"
"The Archery Club is also going to Nagano. Since we'll be using Mitsumori University facilities, the sports clubs will naturally be close by."
She said. Well, I hope they get along.
"Where is the Cybernetics Club going?"
"Okinawa."
""Eh?!""
The two, surprised, looked at Mion instead of me, and then,
"O-Okinawa."
Yeah, it's surprising, alright.
What would the Cybernetics Club even do in Okinawa?

*

I stopped by the supermarket and went home.
After putting away the groceries in the refrigerator, it was around 2 PM, when,
"Shou-oniisama, I'm home!"
"Welcome back. That's an odd time."
Miki also had her final exams today.
She was supposed to have regular school lunch after the tests, and then be done.
"I went to tease Nao's club, you see."
"Ah, that's right, they're allowed to have club activities after their tests."
Miki, who had quickly changed, sat down, demanding a snack.
I served cupcakes, 8 for 400 yen, which were on special, and black tea.
"How were your tests?"
"Munch, they were easy, you see."
Miki answered while munching on a cupcake.
She seemed to have been playing IRO throughout the exam period, but with Miki, it probably wasn't an issue.
"How about IRO?"
"Since Bell-dono is not here, conquest is on hold, you see. Instead, there's been much work on making a road for the port town we spoke of before, you see."
The talk of building a port town is already in motion?
It feels like we're heading in the completely opposite direction, even though there's supposed to be a Demon Kingdom update.
"Aren't you worried about the Demon Kingdom update?"
"It's useless to worry too much when we don't even know the general outline yet, you see."
Bell-buchou was returning today, and apparently, they would continue exploring the Dwarf Dungeon until the update. They were going to the seventh floor next, she said.
"Also, how are the Cait Sith on the mainland doing?"
"Indeed. I saw some in the Royal Capital just the other day. Apparently, new Cait Sith are visiting from Ramune-dono's island, you see."
"Oh~… I mean, aren't they fighting over them?"
I alone have made 9 of them island residents.
Well, even if I sent those 9 back to the mainland, it would be minuscule compared to the total number of players.
"There were such movements, but it seems they are one step ahead, you see."
According to Miki, even if someone tried to follow them, they would lose sight of them without realizing it.
They would apparently slip into paths where humans couldn't pass…
"Cats, huh?"
"Cats, indeed."
If that's the case, then maybe I don't need to worry?
However, something that did concern me was,
"Have you seen any demons since then?"
"At least, I haven't heard any talk of them appearing after the World Quest ended, you see."
Are they enemies exclusive to World Quests?
I thought IRO didn't have event-exclusive things, but… there's no point in me worrying about it, I guess.

*

Alright, IRO… but before that, I had a question for Bell-buchou, whom I met in the virtual clubroom.
"The training camp starts at the beginning of August, right?"
"Yes, the training camp is from August 1st to 5th. There are PCs there, but please bring your own VR HMD."
Yes!
"Indeed!"
Mion and Miki were enthusiastic.
That's fine, but they were bringing their VR HMDs. No, it's a club training camp, so is that right?
"Just a simple question, what are we doing at the training camp?"
"Sightseeing during the day, games at night. Well, sightseeing depends on the weather, I suppose."
…I feel like we're just going to play, but I'll refrain from pointing that out.
"We must plan where to go now!"
That's right!
"Oh, the sea in Okinawa is beautiful, so don't forget to bring your swimsuits, okay?"
As expected, we're not just going to play!
