Chapter 622 - Overview of the Current Nation-Building System

"Shou-kun, Seth-chan."

"You're here."

"Good evening~."

Night. When I showed my face in the Virtual Club Room before logging into IRO, even Yata-sensei was there, seemingly waiting for us?

"Did something happen?"

"Just a moment ago, the explanation for the Nation-Building System was released. It seems our requests were heard."

"""Oh!"""

Bell-bucho enlarged the official page for everyone to see. Let's see...

☆☆☆Nation-Building System☆☆☆

[Temporary Suspension and Towards Resumption]

In [Iris Revolution Online], players can establish and operate their own nations.

We believe this allows all players to unite and enjoy the prosperity of the world of Irisphia.

However, the current implementation had bugs that allowed nation-building in unforeseen situations and permitted its misuse.

We deeply apologize once again for the unpleasant experiences some users have had due to this.

While this feature is temporarily suspended and undergoing thorough review, we have received severe feedback from many users stating 'insufficient explanation.'

Therefore, we are now releasing some of this information, with the permission of users who have already established nations.

As of now, the date for the resumption of the Nation-Building System is undecided. We will inform you again once it is determined.

"Hmph, so you can do quite a lot."

"I'm curious about the 'exclusive skills' acquired by nation founders and appointed public officials."

There's no explanation for those exclusive skills.

"I have some information about that. I asked Ramune-san, and I just got a reply. It seems it was delayed due to today's announcement."

In the case of the Citron Kingdom, Ramune-san, the King (Queen), is the nation founder. And the roles that can be appointed are Prime Minister, Knight Commander, Chief Court Mage... and apparently, there are various others. Each role grants access to a Leadership Skill, and the Prime Minister gets a Governance Skill, while the Knight Commander and Chief Court Mage get Military Skills.

These Governance and Military Skills are of the type that enhance related skills, offering a plus correction to their levels and reducing cooldowns for Arts and spells, making them excellent. Furthermore, they apparently also provide a plus correction to the related skills of subordinates.

"Ehh... Getting all that without consuming SP, isn't that pretty broken?"

"I think so too, but apparently, they're not that useful? Though that might be because there aren't many opportunities to use them."

"The point is that they are taken away if the nation falls. It might be more accurate to call them job bonuses rather than skills."

"That certainly fits better."

But they seem to subtly overlap with titles? Those don't have corrections, do they? I glanced at Mion and saw she was concerned about a different item.

"Anything else you're curious about?"

"Ah, yes. I'm curious about this 'NPC population increase.'"

"Ah, indeed. ...How do you read this?"

"It's read as 'Shinsen'~. It refers to offerings made to gods~." As expected of Yata-sensei. A Japanese language teacher. My grandpa used to offer food and water to the household shrine, and apparently, those are also called 'Shinsen.'

"I heard that only Ramune-san can choose the Shinsen..."

When a player who founded a Nation Level 5 nation chooses a Shinsen, it apparently disappears, and in return, NPCs increase while they are logged out.

"What kind of items?"

"Anything seems fine. But she says she doesn't really understand how things are evaluated."

"Hmm, so that's masked data."

In the Citron Kingdom, Ramune-san apparently makes offerings whenever she remembers. The contents vary quite randomly, including money and ingredients. That's pretty typical of her.

"By the way, that's how the Cait Sith population is increasing, apparently."

"""What!?"""

Well, that makes sense. Sweee, True, Paan, Shal, Kuro, Rake, and Ato are all NPCs, after all.

"I see, so that was the mechanism."

It was said that fairies like Gnomes and Cait Sith were increasing according to the number of players, but in the Citron Kingdom, they must also be increasing thanks to Ramune-san. Which means,

"If I founded a nation, the fairies might increase. But... the problem is becoming a starting point."

"That's true..."

"Indeed..."

"Hmm..."

In the end, it was said that the resumption date was undecided, and there was no mention of what kind of renovations would be made, so this topic was put on hold for now.

.........

......

...

"It's decided~!" "~♪"

When I logged in, the White Dragon Princess and Sweee came running. I wondered what was decided, and apparently, the stained glass design had been chosen.

"What was decided?"

"Lots of flowers~♪" "~♪"

It seems they want lots of flowers, like the ones blooming in the flower bed. Should I have them draw a sketch first?

"Alright, you can draw directly on the board, and then I'll leave the rest to Mion, okay?"

"Yes."
