Chapter 681 - Too Much to Fit It All In
"Delicious~ ♪ Snack time~ ♪ Thank you for the meal~ ♪"
"Thank you for the meal~ ♪" "~♪~♪~♪"
Once we finished the hamburgers, everyone sang "What's the snack?" together. When it was over, it was finally time for the real snack time.
"What is today's snack?"
"Snack~" "~~~♪"
"Today is homemade cheesecake. You can add the Grapeful Wine dessert sauce if you like."
It was hard making cream cheese from Ambernault milk, but once that was done, the rest was easy. I used Sky Sugar, Yakokko eggs, Kohaku (wheat) flour, and used Green Berry juice instead of lemon juice. Once you've made it once, it's easy to do it again, which is nice, but I guess making it even more delicious is where the real challenge lies.
"The Grapeful Wine sauce is non-alcoholic, right?"
"Yeah, he said the alcohol is boiled off, so it's fine."
There was a note from the Master Chef, who had made it. He said it was as simple as adding Grapeful jam to Grapeful Wine and heating it, then letting it cool. He suggested I try making it with the island's Grapefuls.
[Rising] "Looks so good..." [Shallan] "It's best when it's slightly chilled." [Giganoto] "Appraisal please!!" [Tsubai] "Where is that wine sauce sold!?" etc.
I brought out the portions I had prepared from the storage and distributed them to everyone. Oh, I had to appraise it.
[(Temporary) Cheesecake]
[A cheesecake made primarily from cream cheese produced from Ambernault milk. Served with Grapeful Wine dessert sauce. (Explanation can be edited/added.) Effect: DEX/AGI +7% (2 hours), Anti-Poison I (3 hours) Dish Name: (Undecided), Creator: Shou]
Well, it seemed normal enough. The impact of the anko's MP recovery boost was so strong that this didn't quite stand out as much. We wouldn't be fighting after this anyway, so the taste was more important...
"~~~?"
"If you don't like cheese, have this instead."
It was mango with Grapeful Wine dessert sauce. This was also delicious in its own way, like a change of pace.
"Shou-kun."
"Ah, sorry, sorry. Go ahead and start eating."
They seemed to have been waiting for me, but since it was dessert, I told them it was fine to just dig in.
"So, is it okay to do the question corner while we eat?"
"Yes."
While confirming that everyone was enjoying the food, I followed the comment section as questions poured in at a high speed. There were questions about selling things from the island, the tower on the north side of the island, whether I'd go to the Southern Island again, the Remote Island Union or Mutual Aid Association... as expected, the talk about the north side was the most common.
"Okay, first about the north side of the island. The tower we saw from below the cliff turned out to be part of a castle."
[Femura] "A castle!?" [Magip] "How big is it?" [Peater] "Finally, the Fairy King's residence!" [Wizun] "I really want to see it!" etc.
The comment section grew even more excited. Everyone seemed to have high expectations, but it wasn't actually that big of a castle.
"It isn't that large, is it?"
"I think so. I've never seen a real castle, so I can't really say for sure..."
I couldn't explain it well with words, so I thought it would be better to show it in a short video.
"I've cleaned up the courtyard, so maybe I could do the next stream from there."
If that was the case, I wanted to check inside the castle first. I also wanted to check if it was connected to the boat landing (?) below the cliff.
"I'm curious about the inside of the castle, but I'm also worried about the west side of the forest."
"There was something there, wasn't there?"
"At least the Black Hyenas were there."
I felt like there might be something else too. It would be a hassle if it was an Area Boss... I couldn't just keep talking about that, so I moved to the next question.
Yes. The next question is 'Will you go to the Southern Island again?'
"Yeah. I haven't decided when, but I might go along when we take products from the island there."
Basically, I'd leave it to Shal's group and Emeraldia-san, but I thought I'd go myself once in a while. As for Mion... that depended on her, but I didn't think it would be for a while. I thought it would be nice to do it when I did a collab with Bell-bucho.
"The things we take will be things we can get in large quantities on the island."
"Right. Mostly Kohaku and Ohaku. I don't think we can take much alcohol, partly because Argenta-san and the others want it."
I was still in the middle of increasing the Azuki, and I wanted to ensure there was enough for the White Dragon Princess. Other things we could sell would be... Floss Cotton?
"We also need to move forward with the talk about the Mutual Aid Association."
"Yeah. I'm thinking if we're going to meet up, it should be on the Southern Island, and I'll let everyone know properly once that's decided."
"Yes."
And then...
"Ah, the stained glass isn't progressing at all. I've put in a request for info on how to make colored glass, so if anyone has anything, please let me know. Even fragmentary information is fine."
"We look forward to your help."
I guess that was about it. The time was just right, so I decided to have Mion sing at the end.
"Okay, it looks like everyone has finished eating."
"Yes."
The song was already decided: "Fairy Waltz." Mion would play the piano while everyone sang along. So, we moved to the drawing room. Since there was no way all the fairies would fit, we decided that those who couldn't participate now would join in after the stream. I wondered if that castle at the north end had any larger rooms...
"Uh, today Mion will play the piano and sing along with everyone."
[Gafugafu] "Uwooooh!" [Rakuichi] "Eh? Automatic performance?" [Nasi Goreng] "Is Shou-kun performing too?" [Shakeena] "IT'S HERE! ♪───O(≧∇≦)O────♪" etc.
By the way, I was given the choice of singing or performing, and I chose performing. Thanks to my skill level, I could use automatic performance...
"~~~♪" """~~~♪"""
Sweee and the Fairies were sitting on the piano, adjusting the pitch. The White Dragon Princess took Emeraldia-san's hand and pulled her toward the piano.
"Eme-ra is going to sing too~"
"Uu..."
Emeraldia-san looked troubled, even though she was actually quite a good singer. Meanwhile, El-san was expertly concealing her presence and giving up her spot to the fairies. As expected of her.
"Shou-kun."
"Okay. Then, Fairy Waltz."
Mion, of course, was performing manually, and I would match her with my automatic performance. It was a bit pathetic, but I really wanted Mion's singing to be heard clearly.
