CHAPTER 5 WARS OF NATIONS – Summary
[Episode 1: The TriNation Joint Forces]
Bard confronts Jog Ward to determine the command of the joint forces and emerges victorious. Bard then unites the Goriora army led by Arflaburne, the Parzam Frontier Knights led by Seifert, and the Gaineria army led by Jog to face the massive demonic beast army.
[Episode 2: The Tragedy of Try]
The city of Try, established by the Goriora Empire along the Ova River, is annihilated by the demonic beasts. Upon receiving this report, Bard and his subordinates speculate that the demonic beasts’ target is Lordvan Castle. Scout units are immediately recalled, and preparations for a defensive battle are made.
[Episode 3: Demonic Beasts Attack]
The demonic beasts have arrived, comprising a massive army including Shirozuno, Blue Panther, Long-eared Wolf, Oohana, Great Rock Ape, Fukurozaru, and the puppeteer Manuno, totaling nearly eight hundred. In a desperate defense, Bard and his allies barely withstand them, only to face a dire situation when two hundred Riverbear demonic beasts approach. In this moment of crisis, the mysterious power of the ancient sword is unleashed.
[Episode 4: Shinkai’s Ambition]
After being unconscious for two months due to the activation of the ancient sword, Bard learns of a staggering 85% loss in personnel. Meanwhile, the Central Plains are ravaged by Shinkai’s invasion. Shinkai conquers the nations of Thula and Seion before dividing it’s forces to invade the Goriora Empire, the Parzam Kingdom, and Gaineria.
[Episode 5: The Queen of Manuno]
Accompanied by Karz, Bard travels to the distant forest to meet Queen Manuno. He is determined to uncover why Manuno manipulated the demonic beasts to attack the Central Plains. Using the power of the ancient sword, Bard releases the mental restraint placed on the queen. She hints at the involvement of a formidable entity behind the demonic beast assault.
[Episode 6: Summoned]
Upon returning to Lordvan Castle, Bard and Karz reunite with Jurchaga, who had been dispatched to the Central Plains. According to Jurchaga’s report, Shinkai’s army not only possesses formidable military strength but also wields magic to manipulate people’s hearts. As Bard attempts to return to the capital, he receives a summons to the council of senior officials.
[Episode 7: Debate]
Seifert sacrifices himself to protect King Julelan, and Shinkai’s forces prepare to attack the capital. Summoned to the council of senior officials, Bard is questioned about the significant losses. The senior officials seek to prove Julelan’s responsibility for the losses and seize control of the court. However, Jurchaga’s eloquence proves that the defense of Lordvan Castle against the demonic beasts was a miraculous and decisive victory in a desperate situation.
[Episode 8: Wajd Entrante]
Facing Shinkai’s relentless assault, Goriora dispatches reinforcements to Parzam, leading to a military alliance. In a peculiar political arrangement, Bard unexpectedly assumes the position of supreme commander. Despite his initial surprise, Bard resolves to confront the General of Greed and return to the wandering journey.
[Episode 9: Mountain Battle]
Bard steadily conducts a defensive battle against Shinkai’s forces as they advance towards the capital. General Jog Ward from Gaineria rushes to provide reinforcements. Bard lures Shinkai’s forces into the mountains, where he captures enemy commanders in individual combat and successfully repels the Shinkai army.
[Episode 10: Hillpri Marche]
The Shinkai army clashes with the allied forces on the eastern plains of the town of Casse. Bard devises a plan to lure out the General of Greed and defeat him using improved crossbows, poisoned arrows, and elite warriors. However, the General of Greed maintains the upper hand. In a critical moment, Knight Gorz Boa launches a suicidal attack, inflicting a severe blow on the General of Greed and forcing the Shinkai army to retreat.
