11 - Episode 7: The Three Idiots Want a Boost

Marianne is honestly a handful. Laugh if you will at the author's cunning in planting foreshadowing now so that they can go either pure yuri or a curveball later...!

One week since the first goblin hunt. The Three Idiots have been completing subjugation requests day after day, and today, once again, they returned to the base after slaying goblins. Then, they took a breath, gulping down some ale.

"I'm bored."

"Bored, aren't we?"

"I am bored."

The Three Idiots had already grown tired of the current situation. These people should have mental ages around 50, yet they have absolutely no patience.

"Day after day, it is goblin, orc, goblin, goblin, goblin, orc, goblin, and the occasional troll... Why are subjugation requests always like this?"

"It cannot be helped since we are around the Imperial Capital."

"What do you mean... Ah, I see, population density."

"As expected of the lord's son. That is how it is. Rare ones do not come to human settlements like this. Only species with vigorous reproductive power that overflow in number and spill out from their original herds come here. Even in my hometown, it was just that plus the occasional beast-type. If a rare magical beast like a basilisk, bicorn, or garuda appeared, it would be a huge commotion. Let alone in a city."

Geoglyph nodded, agreeing with Later's explanation, while Marianne let out a sigh of heartfelt disappointment.

"I thought I would hunt dragons once I became an adventurer."

"Well, either way, our rank is not high enough to take those kinds of requests."

"Right now, we just have to be steady. Let us save dragons and such for the pleasure after we have built up our track record."

"I suppose it cannot be helped..."

They have no patience, but that does not mean they intend to break the guild's order. Perhaps there is a sense of wabi-sabi in building things up, as they have a certain detached perspective despite being short-tempered.

Later and Marianne do not mind this, but Geoglyph, being an SF otaku, had his own theory that it was the result of the mental age being pulled by the physical age. He figured that once they reached adolescence, things would likely align reasonably well.

Digression aside.

"But still, do you not think it is about time we wanted some enrichment?"

"That is certainly true."

"The alcohol of the previous world was better. The entertainment was the same. In that case..."

The Three Idiots nodded once in unison.

"Inventions."

"Fluffiness."

"Women...!"

They rushed straight toward their own hobbies.

...Eh.

They were well aware of each other's hobbies and fetishes, but they were put off by the overly blunt way of speaking. Geoglyph and Later especially gave Marianne the cold shoulder.

"What is with that reaction? Inventions and fluffiness... Surely you do not intend to forgo scouting for beautiful girls after coming to another world? Are you lacking in that department?"

"I have it. But I think making a rideable golem using magi-science is a boy's romance. Also, flying ships."

"I have it too. This is a world with beastfolk, you know? There are probably beasts that can converse, and even if they cannot speak, fluffiness is healing."

"Then, you could just make a maid robot, the dream of men, or create a beastfolk harem, right?"

"I mean, yeah, that is true, but..."

"Coming from someone with that look... right?"

"Even with this look, I love breasts, butts, and thick thighs!"

Geoglyph and Later looked up to the heavens, wondering why this girl looks like a beautiful girl but has the behavioral principles of a lewd pervert character from the early Heisei era.

"Anyway, Princess, what are you going to do in the future? Your position is what it is. Surely you cannot remain single for life because you are preoccupied with women?"

"It is not a problem. If it comes down to it, I will temporarily grow one and make children."

Hm...?

An abruptly inappropriate line was spat out, and Geoglyph and Later's thoughts flew away.

Grow one. What. To say she can make children means the thing. Overlapping and reinforcing the scattered fragments of words and meaning, it means she can make a son. Of course, in this case, son is not meant literally, but as a metaphorical expression.

"What is it?"

"Hey, Sensei... did I mishear that?"

"No, Ray, Mary certainly just said she would grow one and make children..."

"That is correct. It was not intentional, but I made a medicine."

What... the...

According to Marianne, as part of her perfume research, an aphrodisiac was created, and further deriving from that, a futanari drug was eventually completed. When she tried it out of curiosity, it seems a symbol of manhood temporarily grew.

Physically impossible, the two were about to retort, but this is another world in the first place. It is a mysterious world where an incomprehensible substance called magic power causes incomprehensible phenomena called magic. It would not be strange for there to be a magic potion with effects common in thin books (T/N: referring to doujinshi).

"Clam-matching is also fine, but I know the memory and pleasure of having a son. Since it seemed I could accidentally make it, I sought a method to reproduce it. It is time-limited, but I can become a boy-girl. I do not know if there are seeds, but I should be able to perform the act itself. Well, as a result of trying various things, I realized it is better to remain a woman."

I hate it, this otaku is too faithful to their desires...!

"Otakus have been creatures faithful to their desires from the start. Rather, would it not be creepier if they were not?"

The two were speechless, wondering if she was a resident of an erotic manga, but Marianne herself did not seem to mind.

"More importantly, women, women! A boost via beautiful girls! That is the enrichment we need right now!!"

She uttered words that should absolutely not be said by someone with the appearance of a beautiful girl.

To be continued tomorrow.
